Postpartum Support
Hi! I’m Karlie. 👋🏼
I’m a wife, mama, and born and raised Texan. I’m passionate about Jesus, motherhood, mental/emotional health, holistic wellness, writing, and so much in between.
Becoming a mother has been the greatest honor I’ll ever know. It also surfaced so much that I had no idea that I needed to process, deal with, unlearn, and learn. I started Be Still & Know Motherhood to share what I’m learning and what’s been put on my heart — in hopes to encourage other mamas. I want to disrupt society’s lies about motherhood and dare to be misunderstood while raising children to become whole, healthy adults. I believe that mothers need to feel safe, seen, known, and supported — in general — but especially during the seasons of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. The world we live in today is not set up to be what mothers need, so I’m here to stand in the gap. My hope is that I can be a safe, supportive person to hold mothers and help navigate postpartum and matrescence.
My educational background includes: BA in Communication Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington and additional education/certifications in birth and postpartum care, infant and child development, attachment focused sleep, maternal mental health, positive discipline education, breastfeeding, and holistic health and wellness.
“I am so happy I got to work with you, Karlie! You made all of the countless sleep components so clear and so simple to me. I definitely know and understand more about my baby’s sleep after our brainstorming session. However this is not just knowledge, it’s confidence that I got. You were truly caring and attentive to everything I was saying. Your support was very valuable because it helped me not to feel lonely with my tiredness and my problems. Such a great feeling! I appreciate your work very much and I will absolutely recommend you to those who want to improve their baby’s sleep or just to sleep sleep science.” - Marina T.
“I am most thankful for you reaffirming that what I was doing wasn’t totally off. Us first time Mamas need that emotional support!” -Tania H.
